…I think I’ve hit it.
This week my senior students turned in research papers. The #1 topic of choice? The legalization of Marijuana…Yep.
One of the students also turned in a paper on…wait for it…Tupac being alive. From the whitest kid ever.
I am not making that up.
Aaahhh…the suburbs.
I find this well-reasoned, cogent, and logical:

There were some mighty big storms in Southern California this last week. I know that the midwest and the southwest have a reputation of having the most severe weather, but folks miss the fact that So. Cal has its fair share of severe weather too.
I’ve included below a picture of some damage one particular storm caused last week to a home in San Diego. It really makes you think and be thankful for what you have.
PS–the phote is quite graphic, so I’ve put some scrolling space in before the pic so you can hide the pics from any easily scared younguns.

I had a great idea the other day as my juniors finished Act I of The Crucible.
“Why don’t we act it out?” I said.
So I split them into seven groups, gave them instructions and a time table, and let them get to it. Each group basically had to condense their part down.
Today, as I drove to work (performances were today), I suddenly remembered: I gave the same act (all of act one) to each and every group.
Not the smartest move I’ve ever made…today was quite tedious for teacher and student alike.
Heeere’s your sign.
