You are so much my opposite. You are defending ‘belief’ and I can’t even come up with a definition of that word.

Just a suggestion. If you’re a reader/philosopher, try out “The Case Against God” by George Smith and “The end of Faith” by Sam Harris. To place ‘Jesus’ in his historical context [assuming he ever existed], I’d suggest reading all you can get your hands on and brain into concerning the Essenes [the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls] as well as the Testaments of the Twleve Patriarchs and other ‘intertestamental’ literature. The teachings of Jesus were neither original nor self-consistent. Just like any other human, he contradicted himself, both in words and deeds. If you want to continue to ‘believe’ and/or ‘follow’ his teachings/actions, then you will ‘simply’ continue to be human just like he was and just like all the rest of us. Welcome to the crowd.
