Happy New Year!

I’ve only been blogging since mid November, so the title is a bit of a misnomer, but I’m gonna go ahead and post my top 10 of the year anyway. Some made it in this list by the sheer number of page views, others made it in because I deem it so (I’m *am* the Pugnacious Irishman, not you, foo’.). I’ve put them in no particular order. What post do you think should be number 1? Is there a post that didn’t make it on the list that you think belongs?  Is there a post that *is* on the list that you think stinks?

Let your voice be heard!

On with the show:

Hitchens-Turek Debate: Does God Exist? A link to video of the debate, plus my commentary. Some lively remarks in the comments section!

Social Media for Dummies: 50 (yes, 50) links to various articles on social media know-how. Though I add my own commentary here and there, I just snagged the links list from Koka Sexton. Give him all the credit.

Top 5 Things Women Find Attractive in Men: Are you a socially stunted male? Do you Tivo The Clone Wars and Battlestar Galactica? Can you recite the Jedi creed? Do you own the whole Star Trek figurine series? Is your idea of a good time playing halo 3 while she watches? Then this post is for you.

Public Education–Thoughts from a Rookie Teacher: Something is wrong, very wrong, with public education. I have no real solutions, but boy I can pontificate on the problem(s)!

Book Review–God is not Great, by Christopher Hitchens: Self-explanatory.

Tony Jones Part III–Something I Missed: Why must ‘love’ mean that I acquiesce to whatever behavior the beloved engages in? Many, including Jones, who approves (to greater or lesser degrees) of the homosexual lifestyle cite ‘love’ as a reason, yet they rarely define the word. Most never stop to mention that if the beloved does something destructive to himself or others, that is not something we should rejoice in. Why do they almost never bring this up? How can homosexual behavior *ever* be healthy?

Cross-less Christ: This is a temptation we in the church must staunchly resist…at all costs.

Same-Sex Marriage Conversation–Concluded: Actually, read the whole series. This pretty much sums up the case against SSM, both secularly and religiously.

The Cost of Delaying Marriage: Even though I’m single, I think I’m onto something here.

Simon–Hot. God–Not: Dude…kids these days. This one has links to several other posts on youth that make some good points, so I’m kinda cheating by including this on in the list.

I set out to write on this blog for one reason: to make you think. To the glory of God, I hope I’ve done that. Thanks to all those, both who agree with me and disagree, who joined in on the conversation. It’s been a good ride so far.
