I got genius on one site I had. Then on Simply Ecclesia I also have junior high reading level. I think the difference for me is PC and Mac.
With PC I had Word and the option of looking up synonyms, so this increased my vocab.
With Mac I use Open Office and don’t have this option. Oh well. I would rather have a junior high reading level and use a Mac.
I am not a PC.
Actually, I think that’s a good thing, Rich. For the publications I edit, I aim for a ninth grade reading level. It’s just easier on the readers–even if they are capable of graduate level reading.
I ranked elementary school level, by the way.
Thanks for the encouragement, Marcus!
My ego thanks you…:)
Leave it to the greatness of Marcus to swoon in here for encouragement. Nicely done.
And actually, I was thinking the same thing being a speechwriter and PR type. If you write above Jr. High, it’s forced… or a physics book.
BTW, for what it’s worth, Rich. I could spell “p-u-g-n-a-c-i-o-u-s” when I was in 5th grade. So neener-neener-neener.
Lol….right.
Well, I couldn’t spell hiscrivener in 5th grade. Actually, I still have a hard time with it.
