Why I Must be on Crack

It’s like this, you see….

goingcrazy

Had to get up at 4:30 this morning to get to a wrestling tournament (I’m currently an asst. wrestling coach at the high school at which I teach.). It is now 11:41 p.m, and I just arrived home.

On the way home, I calculated the number of hours I worked this week.

Between teaching and coaching alone, the total rang up to 76. This is about the norm work week during wrestling season (November-March). Otherwise, its about 60.

In addition to this, I am getting a Master’s degree in philosophy, I am in a teacher-induction program (kinda like more grad school classes), I run this blog, and I do various church activities.homercrazy

Now you see what I mean?

Sunday is here! Thank goodness! I do no blog work on Sunday, nor do I do much of anything at all. Were it not for the weekend, I’d have to be on drugs for sure.

You know, though, I’m allright. The work I do is no drag; on the contrary, it has eternal significance and meaning. I’d rather be doing nothing else than making Christ famous in these ways.

I’m out of here, folks. I’ve put a post in the que for Sunday. I’ll see you all again on Monday!

Homosexuality and the Church

Please read the following article from Boundless on Ray Boltz recently announcing he’s gay.

It is a well-thought out article, and it calls the Church out. It strikes a balance between love and a tough moral stance.

Bottom line: whatever sin and/or temptation you deal with, whether homosexuality, pornography, or things outside sexuality, your desire is not your destiny. May the church have the strength of love and nerve to communicate that truth.

Motivation for Postmodern Christians

Hehe…take a look at these. Motivation for postmodern Christians.

“But these are caricatures.”

For some: true, true. The actual website is perhaps going a tad overboard in the sheer amount of posters.   But for some they have I think they are spot on.  Plus, stop judging.

See them all here.
