Sigh…are you Guys Serious?

As if it hadn’t reached inredulity already, the criticizing of Sarah Palin for miniscule things continues.

Doing an interview with that stuff going on in the background *is* kinda weird (Even though they had no problem with it, Palin and the TV crew should have been more aware of how it would look and that it would open them to criticism…wise to avoid it when you can.), but folks need not get their panties in a scruff about it.

See for yourself:

Romney: No Bailout for Detroit

Read the whole thing here.

I don’t know enough about the economic crisis and the auto industry to speak on this, but Romney has a certain amount of authority on this issue.

He makes some good points in the following excerpt:

“The need for collaboration will mean accepting sanity in salaries and perks. At American Motors, my dad cut his pay and that of his executive team, he bought stock in the company, and he went out to factories to talk to workers directly. Get rid of the planes, the executive dining rooms — all the symbols that breed resentment among the hundreds of thousands who will also be sacrificing to keep the companies afloat.”

What do you think?

Hmmm…

Sister Toldjah brings up a good question about Barry’s choice of H. Clinton for Secretary of State.

Evangelical Outpost also makes some salient points.

My thoughts:  Don’t make me say “I told ya so.”  Two things–

1) Obama made other campaign promises that we know darn well he isn’t going to make good on (example: “reaching across the table” on abortion.)

2) He hobnobbed with the “ol gang” during his prior political career and during his campaign (example: connections while in Chicago, Joe Biden).

Tomfoolery

Melinda at Str points to some craziness about modern tolerance.

Commenter Kevin W puts the irony succinctly and humorously:

“One camp says: Tolerate everyone..let freedom win out, it’s the right thing to do.

The other camp says: Tolerate us or else, it’s the only thing to do.

I guess both groups are ‘technically’ for tolerance.

Strange world.”

The most ironic thing: who do you think the U.N will listen and cater to?
Even the Christians’ definition of tolerance at this gathering leaves something to be desired.
